Honeypot

The Honeypot is a trap set to detect unauthorized attempts to use information systems. Honeypot consists of a computer or a network of computers but is basically isolated and monitored. They store the information of the illegal attackers. Based on the application, honeypots are classified into two namely production honeypots and Research honeypots. Production honeypots are deployed in organizations based on production where critical information systems have to be monitored. Research honeypots are implemented in research organizations such as educational institutions where the research data in their systems have to be protected from hackers. Several administrators have created honeypot programs to detect the spammers who hack their open source data. They intimate the URL and response mechanisms of the spammers to the administrator. E-mail trap is also a form of honeypot. An e-mail address is used only to receive spam data is called an e-mail trap. Databases are often attacked by hackers since firewalls do not operate effectively for databases. In such cases database honeypots are used. A group of honeypots together form a honeynet usually implemented in large networks.

Diagnosis with iphones

Researchers at University of California have made a demonstration with a close-up lens for the iPhone that can screen the photos of blood samples and then send the images to remotely located doctors using the 3G Internet connection. The research team announced the implementation of this add-on in the Optical Society of America's (OSA) Annual Meeting. This diagnosis technique reflects the drastic improvements in the optical microscopic photography.
Today microscopy has come to "micron range" optical photography. The 1.7 micron pixel size of the iPhone's camera in combination with 5X magnification lens, gives the iPhone a microscope function in required the micron-range resolution to diagnose patient samples.
The prototype to test this feature was built with a simple idea of liquid lens. No additional hardware was added to magnify the images. It was done with a drop of water on the top of the phone surface. But the water evaporated soon. Then the team decided to build the prototype with a magnifying lens. Now the doctors count the red cells in blood with the magnified images.
Next the team plans to improve its magnifying lens resolution further, for making other diagnoses such as the skin, as well as develop applications for automatic screening such as counting the number of red blood cells(RBCs) and white-blood cells(WBCs) in a blood sample image. The world is shrinking as the technology expands..................

Sauna

The word Sauna refers to the traditional Finnish bath and the bathing house itself from ancient times. A sauna is a small room or house designed to experience dry or wet heat sessions.A sauna session is a social affair in which the participants disrobe and sit in temperatures typically between 70°C (158 °F) and 100°C (212 °F). This promotes sweating and induces relaxation. Saunas can classified into two basic styles: the conventional saunas that warm up the air around and the infrared saunas that warm up the objects around. Infrared saunas may use various materials in their heating area such as charcoal, active carbon fibers, and other materials that conducts heat and warp up the room effectively. There are various techniques followed various regions based on the source of heat. Some of them are Heat-storage Sauna, Smoke sauna, Continuous fire sauna, Electric Stove Sauna etc. Perspiration is a sign of internal reactions trying to cool the body. Users are advised to leave the sauna if the heat becomes unbearable, or if they feel fatigues. Some saunas have a thermostat to adjust temperature, but temperature settings must be made only on experts' advise. One must be precautious while taking sauna bath since there are heat sources placed at extreme temperatures which may cause some injuries due to heat. Covering the face with a towel has been found to reduce the perception of heat. It is advised, especially for women, to put an additional towel or special cap to cover hair to avoid dryness. It has been found that regular practice of saunas combined with proper exercise therapy can effectively clear organic chemicals, solvents, drugs, pharmaceuticals and heavy metals from the body. It helps in balancing body temperature. But prolonged exposure can result in dehydration and loss of electrolytes from the body.

Use your computers with comfort

In present scenario using computers is inevitable. No work process happens without computer monitoring .The major work force globally specific to the IT field who spend most of their time with the laptops and desktops in a day. Hence there is enormous amount of physical strain involved .the major injuries to the body are eye strain, back pain, feeling fatigue, shoulder and join pains, numbness in hands and feet etc. These discomforts occurs due to improper seating , monitor location, body position etc. Let us get rid of all these difficulties by following the below steps while using the computers.
1) Check the distance of the monitor .The distance should be atleast (22-26”).
2) Check the side-to-side position of the monitor. Make an effort to sit correctly .Have the top of the screen level with your eyes.
3)The neck position should be straight not leaning front or backwards.
4)Adjust the backrest on your chair to give support to the lower spine.Make small adjustments to your posture sit upright. adjust the backrest to give support to lower back .
5)Make sure that the seat cushion is not too long sit fully back in the seat.
6)Experiment with your chair to find out what all the adjustments possible.Rest your feet on the floor if necessary use a support for this purpose .It reduces pressure in the front of the thighs.
7)Adjust your chair height. Position the keyboard so that you can use it with
your hands in line with your forearms.keep ur elbows in and forearms horizontal at right angles to the upper arms.
8)Eliminate any reflection on your monitor
9)Also consult your doctor for practicing minor excercises on daily basis to get relief from pain.

The Skinput Technology

When touch screen devices have become common in our day to day life and easily affordable to common man, here comes a new technology known as the Skinput technology in which your arm becomes the input screen of the device. Skinput has been publicly demonstrated as an armband, which is placed on the biceps. This prototype consists of ten small cantilevered Piezo elements configured to be highly resonant, such that they are sensitive to frequencies between 25 and 78Hz. This configuration acts like a mechanical Fast Fourier transform and facilitates extreme out-of-band noise suppression, allowing the system to function even while the user is moving . From the upper portion of the arm, the sensors can sense the finger taps provided to any part of the arm with accuracies up to 96%. Like the existing speech recognition systems, the Skinput recognition engine must pre-programmed on the "sound" of each input location before use. After programming, each location can be used as an input icon corresponding to specific interactive functions, such as pause/play song, increase/decrease music volume, speed dial, and menu navigation.
Through a pico-projector, skinput projects the GUI screen on the skin which allows users to interact with the device .

How to survive Heart attack when you are all alone

Hi friends, when you are alone at home watching your favourite show in the television without any conflicts for the remote, let's say you suddenly feel really tired ,you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to spread out into your arms and up into your jaw. You need to drive 5 miles to reach the hospital. Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. Here are some medical advises to tackle such a situation. Since many people who suddenly feel acute pain in chest, abnormally perspiring, being all alone at home has just 10 seconds left before losing conscious. This is not to panic you but is to create awareness. Under such conditions, start coughing repeatedly and vigorously. Take a deep breath before each cough. The cough should be very deep and prolonged. Deep breath and cough should be done continuously until the heart starts to beat normally again. This deep breath exercise gets fresh oxygen into the lungs and coughing exercise squeezes the heart and enhaces blood circulation in and out. This squeezing pressure on the heart facilitates its functioning. This technique is very much effective and proven to be life saving. Share this information with all your friends as it could save their lives.....Dont ever think that you will never get hearth attack since you are below 25 or 30. Nowadays due to change life styles and modern food habits, there is no age limits for heart congestion. So friends, please share this article with as many people as you can since helping hands are greater than praying lips.......
